Conceived during a six-month residency at the Cité internationale des Arts in Paris, 40 began as a deeply personal confrontation with my own milestone birthday. Inside the studio, I gathered ten international female artists—all navigating that same pivotal mid-life threshold—to share the raw, unfiltered truths of aging, changing bodies, re-defined success, and the sheer endurance required to sustain a creative life.
