Working between the United States and Taiwan, my practice navigates the complex terrains of historical inheritance, identity, and personal memory. In this ongoing series, the twelve Chinese zodiac signs are reinterpreted not as passive symbols of destiny, but as active vessels for memory. Marked by political slogans, colonial imprints, and historical propaganda, each piece speaks to a global human experience of diaspora, contested sovereignty, and the ongoing struggle for self-determination. By layering these traditional icons with political realities, this evolving body of work redefines the cultural narratives we carry into the modern world.
